Samuel David Moore (1935年10月12日,フロリダ州 Miami生まれ)と David Prater (1937年5月9日,ジョージア州 Ocilla生まれ、1988年4月9日没)が1961年に結成したソウル・デュオ。
デビュー曲はマイアミのヘンリー・ストーンのレーベルで録音され、ルーレットから発売されています。その後、アトランティックと契約し、スタックスへ出向させられ大成功を収めました。
1968年か69年に来日（TV出演見ました）
